Au pair in the Netherlands
Supporting children in their everyday routines, helping with age-appropriate activities and being a dependable, caring presence in family life. Living abroad has also strengthened my independence and adaptability.
Hi, I’m Emma! I’m a caring and enthusiastic au pair who loves helping children feel safe, confident and excited to learn. My time in the Netherlands has been a meaningful chapter filled with growth, new experiences and special memories.
Get to know me
I’m Emma Kruger, an aspiring educator with a genuine love for working with children. I have experience as an au pair in the Netherlands and as a Montessori teacher assistant, where I learned how important patience, consistency, encouragement and play are in a child’s development.
I would describe myself as warm-hearted, responsible and adaptable. I enjoy getting to know each child as an individual, creating a positive routine and finding little ways to make everyday moments fun and meaningful. I also love discovering new places, learning about different cultures and making memories along the way.
Every child is different. I aim to meet children with patience, kindness and a thoughtful balance of fun, structure and encouragement.

Supporting children in a classroom environment and encouraging independence, curiosity and learning through hands-on activities, while helping maintain a calm and welcoming space.
I believe children thrive when they feel seen, safe and supported. I value clear communication, consistent boundaries, creativity and celebrating the small milestones.
My au pair year has been about more than childcare. It has helped me grow, embrace a new culture and become more confident doing things independently.
I’m happiest when I’m making memories with family, spending time outdoors, enjoying a good coffee or getting out to explore.
If you think I could be a good fit for your family, I would love to hear from you and learn more about your family and what you are looking for.
